![]() Ok update View image: /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gifI'm (AMD 1.33GHz on an Epox 8k7a mobo) using WinXP, and my friend (Celery 600 now at 900, using latest detonnator drivers) is using win98. 600MHz should be PLENTY, I don't know what kind of crappy code they use. Or that the FPS drops below 40 800圆00 And there's no reason that a 600MHz+GF2MX system drop to 10ish FPS when the player steps in a city, and thats at 640x480.I mean, D2 isn't graphically complex in anyway. At 800圆00, It won't drop below 50.I'm sorry, but with the crap ass graphics of Diablo2, there's absolutely NO reason that a simple map should halve the FPS of a 1.33GHz system. ![]() With graphics turned down.I can run Quake3 at 1024, all the graphics maxed out, with 20 bots onscreen, shooting everywhere, with DETAILED maps, and it won't ever drop below 30. And thats with the map fade disabled, lightning complexity set to low, etc. And also the whole game slows down, and when I unpress the tab button, I start running twice as fast as I normally do for a few seconds. Actually, it dosn't even halve, its becomes a third. The wost is that I can be running in an empty field, with no one around, but as soon as I hit the tab button and the map appears, my FPS halves. A friend of mine bought LOD and he said it ran like crap on his 256MB, Celery600 & GF2MX 640x480.I installed it at my place, put the res at 800圆00, and it ran well, but then again, when there's a lot of ennemies (20 lets say) the fps drop to the mid 30-20's.whats the deal with having a 1.33GHz, 512MB DDR ram, and Radeon 32 megs and having D2 drop to ridiculously low frames per second? But thats not the worst.
